Come join us for film- and movie-themed English lesson and conversation space at The Lake Cafe ! If you want to improve your English conversation skills, there is no better way than real conversation practice with people who share a common interest in movies and a helpful instructor to give you advice. Whether you want to get started with new conversation phrases, sharpen your speaking and listening skills, or just spend an afternoon having interesting conversations, all levels are welcome.

Your Instructor: My name is Carter and I’m from Seattle, USA! I have 5+ years teaching English in Vietnam and South Korea, and now I am studying Japanese. I am also a classical guitarist currently active in a guitar + shinobue music duo based in Kyoto.
I am a huge movie fan, especially old films from the silent era to the 1970’s.
My favorite film is Mizoguchi’s Ugetsu (1953), what’s yours?
